Filming Dahab with the Sony NEX FS100

Michael Zomer from  Kraakhelder Productions recently shot a superb video of Dahab, Egypt using the Sony NEX FS100 and shares his experience with us along with the trials of shooting underwater with an improvised housing. Sometimes it all comes down to using what you’ve got and as Michael shows us, you can create a great cinematic image and story with a little ingenuity.

Sony NEX FS100Sylvain, a good friend from Canada flies every year to Bonaire and other than the internet, he is my technology contact to the world. This year he brought with him the Sony NEX-FS100 and the soon to be released Genesis Amphibico housing. The NEX-FS100 was introduced in November 2011 as Sony’s answer to the demand for more consumer affordable cameras with full frame 35 mm sensors.
